passage tranquille #3 and #1

i first did something like this two years ago. as a whimsy. people always "oohed" and "ahhed" at the framed version. i guess it is eye catching. so - i am doing some more of them now. the original ("passage tranquille #1) was bought by a local psychologist. she said it calmed her and she hoped it would do the same for her patients. i wonder if the subsequent pieces will live up to the first piece?

This one is of the deep waters of the soul hey Joel?
Love that bank where it meets the water. Gorgeous watercolour!

Thanks Dake! i love painting in this style. as i said the first one was really popular wherever it was shown and recently sold for a good price.

should i feel guilty because (a) i like painting this way and (b) because it is "popular"?

dunno.

Joel, first thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to leave a comment.:)

i love the mood you set in this one! you're an inspiration indeed. landscapes tend to 'escape' me but i need to venture into this territory to continue with my latest ideas. i'll be watching you.

These don't need a signature! I expect the second one will also soon convince someone to part with a good chunk of change.
